CARRIE & PERRY: Aspen
Thursday, July 01, 2010

It's no secret that we love a good mountain wedding. When we set out for Carrie & Perry's Aspen wedding this past weekend, I knew it would be beautiful but boy did I underestimate just how stunning we'd find it. There are few ceremony sites that give guests a good hike - one of those places that leaves you feeling in the middle of nowhere. Consider it found!

We were amazed by their stunning selection for their ceremony site - picturesque Hallam Lake, just a stone's throw (but world away) from downtown Aspen. The serene ceremony was rivaled only by their tented reception at the St. Regis. Big thanks and admiration to Marcy at Creative Weddings for her vision and execution of the day...if you are looking for an amazing planner with equal mastery over logistics, creativity and positivity - she's your gal.

And to Carrie & Perry - we are in so much awe of your grace, class and love. Here's to a life chalk full of just that!

Carrie's brother...While everyone's eyes were on Carrie & her dad....

Quiet moments...

LOVED Soul School - check them out!

Stunning details with the incredible vision by Creative Weddings.

I always love seeing past brides and grooms at weddings...like this beautiful couple!

Congratulations Carrie & Perry - we think the world of you!

much love,

Katie

Happy! Happy!
Thursday, June 24, 2010

I thought I'd share a bit of happiness today with some images that make me happy from recent shoots in the past week or so! I really believe the best photographs are those that give you the privlege of being in a moment...even if just for a moment.   It's about a way a photograph makes you FEEL.  That is what good photography is all about to me.

Krista and Erik - engaged!

Ashley and Nic - engaged!

Little Izzy - learning to walk!

Lauren and Andy - married! (and boy was it a celebration - more to come!)

May Friday come soon for you all!

Jenna

JULIE & BRETT: Pastures of Plenty
Tuesday, June 15, 2010

They say a little rain on your wedding day is good luck. Ironic? Perhaps. But something worth celebrating? Absolutely. After all, they call it dancing in the rain for a reason. This Saturday was especially lucky - the rain didn't stop. Nor did the celebrating. Julie & Brett tied the knot out at the amazing Pastures of Plenty, an organic farm outside of Boulder.

As Julie said herself, "Today, the people here will be the sunshine." Amen to that.

Props to Julie & Brett and all of their guests for having a hootenanny of a good time, to Gabbie & Spice at Calluna Events for bringing it all together and to the folks at Pastures of Plenty for the beautiful backdrop.

Here is but a sneak peek of their day...more to come!

Congratulations Julie & Brett! Bask in that Italian sun for us, you lucky ducks!
