Authenticity and an overwhelming sense of togetherness.  Those were the resounding sentiments on Jeanna & Steve's wedding day.  I love it when a wedding gets under your skin, when the relationships are so admirable, when the ceremony is heartfelt and true, when the party is a joyous celebration...all of these things culminating after months of planning and years of finding the best in someone.  Jeanna and Steve just may be some of life's very greatest cheerleaders - it was no surprise then to find their wedding to embody all of above.

Jeanna is the Director of Catering at the Oxford Hotel - making it particularly special that she walked down the aisle in the very place she has come to love, a place she has watched many weddings - it was time for her own!

Their ceremony was held in the Oxford's Sage Room - a beautiful spot. They set up the room in a round formation - so intimate.

Jeanna's sisters sang "When you say Nothing at all." This was the moment with most definite stopping power. beautiful.

My favorite of the day.

Having worked at the Oxford for so many years and having watched so many wedding parties take the classic photo in front of Union Station, Jeanna and her co-workers from over the years decided it was time to have their own fun. I love these girls - they certainly know how to have a good time!

We asked Jeanna and Steve's guests to give us an expression that they'd want the couple to remember them by. And this is what we got...

Congrats Jeanna and Steve! From the very bottom of my heart, I cannot say enough times over how amazing the two of you are. Your sincerity does not go unnoticed.  Here's to many adventures to come!

There are a few things in life that happen only once but every few years: the olympic games, the retirement of a great Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor and...seeing a photographer join a wedding as a guest. I had the opportunity to do just that last weekend in Stowe, Vermont. Of course - who am I kidding - this would not happen without camera in tote.

Shari is a great friend of mine whose history spans back to our days at the University of Wisconsin. Her story of meeting Matt goes a bit like this:

Having met Matt for the first time that weekend, it turns out that this mountain man is PERFECT for her! I have nothing but amazing things to say about their relationship, chalk full with an adventurous approach to life.

And so, to Stowe we go. (ooh, that rhymes...calling Dr. Seuss!)

They were married at the Cliff House on Mt. Mansfield - Vermont's highest peak.
