Well it seems as if life is in a constant state of motion lately with wedding season in full swing! Every summer I am blown away by the amazing couples and their families that we get to work with. Is it just me? Or do we have the best clients ever? We are so fortunate and thankful to you all. I wanted to take a few minutes this morning to share Andrea and Scott's wedding day. These two are SO creative and did an amazing job planning their Boulder wedding at Sunrise Amphitheatre and Chataqua Dining Hall. There were so many moments at Chataqua that day that I felt as though I was returning to summer camp with the old cabins and quaint, historic feeling of the area.
I always knew that Andrea and Scott were smart extraordinary people - but I think that may be an understatement! Andrea and Scott met while both working on their MBA's at Harvard. They are kind, genuine, confident and full of love for the world around them. Oh, and did I mention they do Ironman's too! (Well, Andrea is quick to correct me that she ONLY does half-ironmans...as if that doesn't count!) The two of them are passionate about biking and training for triathalons back home in San Francisco. I so admire the two of you and your passions and ability to run (literally) towards your dreams! Ok - on to the festivities!
I absolutely LOVE Andrea's short dress. She pieced it together at a wedding shop in San Francisco - she was SO comfortable and happy all day - I felt like she just found a dress that suited her personality perfectly and it didn't hold her back a bit from having fun that day. I think if I could do my wedding all over again - I'd definitely opt for a short dress!
I love the Mission House at Chataqua where Scott and all of his family prepared for the wedding.
Scott and his Dad spend some time on the porch together prior to seeing Andrea for the first time.
A few minutes before Scott and Andrea saw each other for the first time...
Andrea and her mom are very close - and this was a really special day for not just Andrea and Scott...but her mom as well. I love the timeless feel of this portrait of them.
Seeing each other for the first time prior to the ceremony..
Check out Scott's socks - his cuff links even matched the socks! I love them!
They put an incredible effort into the details of the day - from buttons to umbrellas to programs...no detail left undone!
Scott and Andrea arrived via tandem bike to their cocktail hour!
My favorites from the day.
Andrea's best friend growing up was her Maid of Honor and gave quite possibly the most hysterical speech I have ever heard at a wedding. Let's just say it was more of a roast than a toast - reflecting back to a chidhood habit of Andrea's. We were ALL crying of laughter - but I won't disclose more than this on the blog!
Check out Andrea's moms reaction below!
Scott and Andrea NAILED their dance! It was in the works for quite some time as they took lessons and all - and blew everyone away!
And a quiet last moment...
Andrea and Scott - thank you so very much for making us a part of your day. We think the world of you and can't wait to hear of all of your adventures in life to come! I have no doubt that the sky is the limit for the two of you. You are an incredible example of a great couple who share passions and inspire each other - it is contagious! Much love, Jenna and Matt! |
