Why is it SO HARD to decide what images belong on my walls of our house? Seriously – as a photographer I find it seriously embarassing that the walls of our house are so empty. I have big plans for them – but am so intimidated by the blank spaces. I think I feel an extraordinary responsibility to hang images that mean something to us. Images that tell a story in our short life history. Recently, I framed and matted this image that Katie took of us with Story on her first birthday…it seems to rise above the thousands of images we have in our life as one that means the world to me. I think it marks a big accomplishment in not only Story’s life – but Matt and I too…and the incredible journey that first year of Story’s life brought. Oh – and great joy. Real joy.
Here it is…(oh and the folks in the background include my dad and a few of our best friends…)
Much love,
Jenna

This is a great moment captured! I agree sometimes it’s hard to choose what is wall-worthy. I find our refrigerator works as a nice test-grounds for whether or not I want to enlarge. Looking forward to reading your updates on other photos that might make the cut!
the cobbler has no shoes! i’m always the one with out business cards and i design and print them. sheesh.
this is a keeper! if your walls could speak …
