This past Saturday the 2008 wedding season was kicked off with Libby and Ben's wedding in Summit County, Colorado. Libby and Ben have a quiet confidence and beauty about them. They are sweet, kind, loving people with equally amazing families and we feel so fortunate to have been a part of their wedding day. Libby and Ben live in Puerto Rico, so for them - a snowy wedding in a Colorado ski town was exactly what they wanted. They ended up with a 45 degree day in the middle of winter - but it made for a great day of outdoor photos - so Matt and I were pretty excited about the great weather. Libby's dad Jay helping her get ready.
Libby and her Mom were so fun to watch together...they avoided each other to avoid crying - but I loved how much this day meant to both of them.
The ceremony was at St. Mary's chapel in Breckenridge. This is the first chance we have had to photograph there and I loved this chapel - it is quaint, very pretty and full of color!
Exiting the ceremony...
The reception was held at Keystone Ranch and it was spectacular. Angie, of Sapphire Celebrations, did an absolutely stunning job bringing the details together for Libby and Ben. Kristie of Delilah's of Denver did all of the flowers - and they were amazing as expected! The theme was "Winter Wonderland"...
Libby's parents made a crystal tree to hang the guests place cards on...I want one! I loved this idea...
Wine was a central part of the dining experience. Guests were served wine pairings with each of the dinner courses. If you haven't had the chance to eat at Keystone Ranch - make a special night of it - the food is out of this world.
Yummy martinis were served as the guests walked in.

There were only about 60 guests at the wedding which made for a really intimate event. I loved this moment when all of Ben's fraternity brothers surrounded him and Libby to give a toast (or was it a roast!?)
Libby and Ben - I hope you are having an AMAZING time skiing up in Banff and sitting in hot tubs...thank you for being such a blast to work with and we are so grateful to call you our clients and new friends! Get in a run for us! Congrats! Jenna and Matt |
