Pay attention to what your paying attention to. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about this statement. How am I spending what little time I do have? Between Facebook, Twitter and a zillion other iphone apps…there are a lot of days where I zone out and just let things come towards me when it comes to social media. I have to admit…I like substance. I like to read things that matter. While I appreciate someone that can succinctly say something in 140 characters or less on Twitter – I’m just not very good at it. And while I love the minute by minute updates on Facebook…I find it more important for me to be living my life and being present with all of you I am face to face with. I just don’t feel as though MY minute by minute is that interesting. Maybe it is…but I’ve yet to find a way to be very good at that yet either. But am I the ONLY one? I’m on a new found old-fashioned kick of finding substance in what I’m paying attention to. I want to read things longer than 140 characters and I want to be face to face with more than facebook. So, I thought I’d share a few things I love paying attention to…. If you are a bride there are some tremendous blogs out there that didn't exist when I got married.
